Grades 4-11 | Pickleball Camp

Pickleball Camp is a three-hour six-day camp for Grades 4-11 deaf/hard of hearing children and teens. 

 

Pickleball is currently the fastest growing sport in the USA - it is easy to learn and fun to play. Focus is on the following athletic skills: agility, balance, hand-eye coordination, movement, pickleball technique, learning how to score, playing fun cooperative games and competitive matches. Instruction will be provided by an experienced coach with pickleball and tennis background. Campers will build their self-confidence while making new friends and learning a life-long sport/exercise activity.

Grade Levels:  Grades 4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11

Dates:  Sunday-Friday, June 11-16, 2023

Hours:  Grades 4 thru 7–8:30-11:30 am; Grades 8 thru 11–12:30-3:30 pm (daily drop off/pick up)

Location:   Texas School for the Deaf, Austin, TX

Host:  Statewide Outreach Center at TSD
Fee:  $150
