Grade 12+ | Adult Drivers Ed
Young Adult Drivers Education is a two-week overnight course for deaf/hard of hearing young adults ages 18-22 in Grade 12+, who may pick from one of two sessions. Note: Teen Drivers Education is offered those who are between the ages of 15-17 at the start of and during the course.
Certified driver instructors fluent in sign language (voice interpretation on request) will provide six hours of classroom instruction to prepare for the Texas Adult Driver’s License. There are no behind-the wheel training requirements. Some driving practice may be provided, if time permits. Participants will also learn proper automobile and tire maintenance, the availability of alternative transportation methods, and how to plan trips using public transportation.

This course does not guarantee that each participant will pass the required tests to receive their Adult Drivers License.

Session B: Sunday-Friday June 18-30, 2023
Hours: Overnight (drop off Sunday afternoon, pick up Friday 12 noon)
